Hi, I’m William Thomas Heegaard. I am a nationally registered paramedic from Minneapolis with four years of experience in pre-hospital emergency medical care, disaster response and humanitarian programming. I received my BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from UC Berkeley, after completing my honors thesis on risk perception and American foreign policy. Fascinated by the connection between public health, environmental science and humanitarian crisis, I hope to work at the nexus of disaster response and sustainable development.
